Vance Drops Big Prediction Ahead of November Election
Sen. J.D. Vance, whom former President Donald Trump chose as his 2024 running mate, has made a bold prediction in the final months before Election Day.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Vance expressed his goal of helping Trump secure historically Democratic states once again. He is particularly optimistic about turning Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin—traditionally known as the Democrats’ ‘blue wall’—into a “red wall” come November.
“We’re going to make sure that Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan go red,” Trump’s 2024 running mate emphasized in an exclusive national interview with Fox News Digital on the campaign trail in southwestern Michigan this past week.
For nearly 25 years, Democrats consistently won Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin in presidential elections until Trump narrowly secured them in his 2016 victory. In 2020, President Biden narrowly reclaimed all three states, defeating Trump.
As the 2024 presidential election approaches, these states remain highly competitive, with Vice President Kamala Harris and Trump battling for their support.
Last month’s Republican National Convention was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s largest city. After the convention, Trump and Vance held their first joint campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a short distance from where Vance was interviewed by Fox News on Wednesday.
As a first-term populist senator and a key Trump ally, Vance has traveled to all three ‘blue wall’ states in the past two weeks. He told Fox News he plans to spend considerable time in these states over the summer and autumn, promoting the GOP ticket’s message to working-class voters.
“We’re going to make sure that Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan go red. People are sick of green energy scams that ship our manufacturing jobs to China instead of keeping them right here at home in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. I think we have a great pro-manufacturing, pro-American worker message,” he emphasized.
Vance said that his pitch to working-class voters is a “core message that Donald Trump and I have in this campaign and this is a good place for people to hear it.”
