Three-time NHRA Champion Antron Brown to Host 2024 SEMA Prayer Breakfast

Antron Brown is quick on the track, racing to 79 career NHRA wins, nonetheless he’s quicker to credit God, humbly conceding triumph to faith. When Brown exits his 330-mph Matco Tools Top Fuel dragster after a race win he first gives glory to God. The three-time NHRA world champion will share his journey of conviction when he joins Barry “Mr. Shine” Meguiar to host the annual SEMA Show Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Las Vegas.

“The glory truly does always go to God,” Brown said. “I was humbled when SEMA and PRI leadership asked if I would be willing to speak at the Prayer Breakfast and immediately said ‘yes.’ People often see me in prayer with the RFC (Racer’s for Christ) team before a pass and think it’s always a prayer for success and to win or go low E.T. (elapsed time). It’s not. It’s a prayer for safety. For myself, all the competitors, and fans at the track. Safety is truly what’s most important at the race track and my faith and belief in God keeps me grounded in that fact.”

Now in its third year, the SEMA Show Prayer Breakfast, which was highlighted by NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Steve Largent and 2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow as previous speakers, takes place from 7-8:30 a.m. in Ballroom A at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino on November 6. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. and a full complimentary breakfast will be served. The event is completely donor funded and free to attend. To RSVP, please visit: https://theprayerbreakfast.com/#rsvp.

“In my opinion, the Prayer Breakfast is the highlight of SEMA week where you can escape the noise of the busy show floor to meet fellow believers from all parts of the automotive aftermarket, build friendships, encourage each other, pray for our industry and hear powerful and inspirational messages from folks like Antron,” Barry Meguiar said.

Brown’s 63 NHRA Top Fuel wins rank second in the category known as the “Kings of the Sport” and he places sixth on the all-time NHRA round wins list with 847 win lights. His decorated resume also includes 16 wins on two wheels in the Pro Stock Motorcycle category and 50 poles. Brown has a category-best five Top Fuel wins this season as he eyes a fourth NHRA championship.
