Joseph appoints JW Anderson and Christopher Kane alumni as its Creative Director

Joseph, the contemporary, sleek womenswear brand, has today announced the appointment of Mario Arena as its Creative Director. He will be based in London at the brand’s new Design Department.

Founded by Moroccan entrepreneur Joseph Ettedgui and his family in 1972, Joseph is a British fashion brand a retailer. Mario Arena is now taking the helm, succeeding husband-and-wife design duo Anna Lundbäck Dyhr and Frederik Dyhr, who had served as co-creative directors since 2020.

Arena’s first collection for Joseph (Spring/Summer 2026), will hit stores in October 2025.

The newly appointed Creative Director boasts more than 30 years of experience in the luxury fashion industry. Most recently, he was the Director of Product and Design (ready-to-wear, accessories and runway) at JW Anderson. Prior to this, he held similar positions at Nanushka and Christopher Kane.

He previously launched his own label ‘Enlist’ and founded Arena International, a strategic design & trend studio, where he collaborated Celine, LVMH and more.
