Model Bar Refaeli blasts Gigi Hadid for false claim about Israel being the only country to keep children as prisoners of war

Israeli model Bar Refaeli slammed fellow beauty influencer Gigi Hadid for promoting a false claim that Israel is the only country in the world to keep children as prisoners of war – something Hamas has done following the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

Last week, Hadid posted an Instagram story to her following of nearly 80 million. The post seemingly attempted to justify the Hamas terror attacks against Israeli citizens on Oct. 7.

Hadid wrote in the since-deleted post, “Israel is the only country in the world that keeps CHILDREN AS PRISONERS OF WAR.”

The Palestinian-American model continued: “ABDCUTION, RAPE, HUMILIATION, TORTURE, MURDER, OF PALESTINIANS YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS BEFORE Oct. 7, 2023.”

She included a photo of Ahmed Manasra – who she claimed was “abducted” by Israel at age 12.

Hadid also accused Israel of imprisoning hundreds of Palestinian children.

However, a then-12-year-old Manasra is accused of going on a stabbing spree with his cousin in Jerusalem’s Pisgat Zeev neighborhood on Oct. 12, 2015. Video shows the two boys wielding knives as they terrorize locals.

The knife attack left a 13-year-old Israeli boy with critical wounds and an Israeli man was also stabbed.

His cousin and accomplice – Hassan Manasra – was shot dead by police. Ahmed was hit by a car and transported to a hospital.

He allegedly admitted to investigators, “I went there to stab Jews.”

Manasra was convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to nine and a half years in prison. While in prison, Manasra allegedly attempted to harm himself and others.

Bar Refaeli called out Hadid for her anti-Israel post on social media.

Refaeli posted a graphic on her Instagram that read: “Gigi Hadid the latest to portray knife-wielding Palestinian terrorist as victim in series of false claims shared with 79 million Instagram followers.”

The Hostage and Missing Families Forum reported that Hamas terrorists had kept 242 hostages captive before Israel and Hamas agreed to swap some prisoners. Of the hostages detained by Hamas, there were allegedly 37 children – including a 10-month-old baby.

Gigi’s father – Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid – also received pushback for an anti-Israel social media post.

In October, the 74-year-old Hadid posted a graphic that likened Israel to Nazi Germany.

The Jewish Chronicle previously reported, “The infographic, which spliced half of a red Nazi flag with half of the Israeli flag, appeared to equate the Nazi regime with the Israeli state, claiming the former was ‘founded on Aryan supremacy’ and the latter was ‘founded on Jewish supremacy.'”

Hadid deleted the Instagram post following outrage.
