A new combined 70,000 sq ft Frasers and Sports Direct store has opened at the Fremlin Walk Shopping Centre in Maidstone, Kent.

It comes after Frasers Group recently acquired the 350,000 sq ft centre, and will also soon be opening a 5,000 sq ft Flannels store – bringing a new luxury retail offering to Maidstone, with brands including Represent, Palm Angels and Vivienne Westwood.

Set across two floors, the new Frasers concept store also incorporates Frasers Group’s other retail brands, from USC and Jack Wills to Evans Cycles, GAME and Sofa.com.

Lauren Barrie, Head of Luxury and Premium at Frasers Group said: “We’re proud to be opening the doors to our latest Frasers concept store in Maidstone.

“We’re continuing to reinvent retail as we offer regional communities access to some of the best premium brands on the market, and create engaging retail spaces to meet, shop, and explore.”

Located in the heart of Maidstone, the “next generation store” features ready-to-wear collections from a comprehensive mix of premium and lifestyle brands across menswear, womenswear, and kidswear, such as Lauren by Ralph Lauren, Barbour International, BOSS, Tommy Hilfiger, New Balance, and UGG.

It also features Frasers’ Beauty Edit, with an ever changing roster of emerging and established beauty brands. Consumers can shop skincare, makeup, fragrance, beauty tools, and accessories from Estée Lauder, Clarins and Clinique to fragrances from Creed, Dior and Tom Ford.

Designed to impress, the accessories hall in the new Frasers new store is described as “a must-visit destination”, featuring a sought after range of products from renowned brands like Marc Jacobs, Coach, and Tory Burch.

Spanning 35,000 sq ft, the new Sports Direct features the freshly launched ‘Outdoor’ and ‘Running’ concepts, offering a wide selection of products and brands across all categories.

As was reported earlier this month, Frasers Group is on a spree of snapping shopping centres. As well as Fremlin Walk, it has also recently acquired the 600,000 sq ft Princesshay Shopping Centre in Exeter, which is home to over 60 retailers, and the 65,000 sq ft Olympus Centre retail park in the Quedgeley area of Gloucester.
