In Pictures: Barbour and Baracuta unveil second collaboration collection for AW24

British brands Barbour and Baracuta have just launched their second collaboration collection for AW24.

Fronted by podcaster and model Danny Lomas, the accompanying campaign was shot in the heart of Manchester, celebrating the brands’ shared northern heritage.

The collection takes its inspiration from northern British subcultures that embraced Baracuta jackets in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, “capturing the spirit, energy, and iconic self-expression of those eras”.

Combining two centuries of craftsmanship, the collection features outerwear styles that lend from the design DNA of both brands, including a new take on Barbour’s ‘Bedale’ jacket – with Baracuta design elements – and a Mod-style parka.

Featuring Baracuta’s iconic Fraser Tartan and Barbour’s classic House Tartan, there’s a relaxed fit patchwork shirt, as well as a ‘half and half’ tartan bag. There’s also knitwear, t-shirts and bucket hats, with archive details at the forefront.

Ian Bergin, Director of Menswear at Barbour, said: “Carefully melding together the DNA of both brands was key to this collaboration. We wanted to pay tribute to the northern roots of Barbour and Baracuta, and the people that have worn our jackets over the years.

“As a result, we have paid close attention to the detailing – from trims and hardware to fabrications and cut. I know there are small features that aficionados will pick up on straight away.”

A spokesperson for Baracuta added: “This more than just a collaboration; it’s a union of legacies. It’s about shared heritage, craftsmanship, and a deep rooted British identity. Manchester and South Shields, the iconic homes of both Baracuta and Barbour, flow through our veins and into our pieces.”

The full collection is available in Barbour stores, and on both the Barbour and Baracuta websites, as well as in select retail partners.
