Agent Provocateur launches racy Christmas campaign starring Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Agent Provocateur has launched a very raunchy new Christmas campaign starring model and presenter Abbey Clancy and her husband, former England footballer and pundit, Peter Crouch.

The scene is set with Clancy preparing for a sexy rendezvous in a London hotel room, dressed in racy red lingerie from Agent Provocateur’s ‘Forever Collection’, with matching red lipstick, tousled blonde hair and champagne on ice.

She pings Crouch a photo of her lying in wait on the hotel bed with the message ‘Room 531 x’, but he’s in the Marquis Cornwallis pub over the road playing snooker with his mates and doesn’t see it. His phone has been left on the bar and only the pub landlady, played by actress Jaime Winstone, spots it –  but doesn’t let on.

The next message is ‘WTF…where are you?’ before Clancy takes it upon herself to stride over the road – still in said lingerie. She pins him on the table and ties him to it. As his friends leave smiling, she pulls down his trousers to reveal Agent Provocateur boxer shorts.

Then, chalking up a snooker cue, she places the white ball on the table pointing at his nether regions. Winstone whispers “do it!” and she fires the ball – with Crouch screaming the place down. The caption reads: ‘A reminder from Agent Provocateur to not forget date night this Christmas’, and the ad ends with Winstone asking: “New balls love?” with a dirty laugh.

The campaign, which is social first and unfortunately won’t be on national TV, is a playful anniversary-inspired update of the brand’s iconic 2015 ‘Love Me Tender’ film starring Rosie Huntington Whiteley, and is once again directed by Greg Wiliams – this time in collaboration with Creative Director, Sarah Shotton. The new festive short film also has a score by composer Daniel Pemberton.

Often considered an odd-looking couple, the 6 ft 7” Crouch, known for his beanpole physique and dry wit, was once asked what he would be if he wasn’t a footballer. His quick response was “single!”
