How JD is offering one-of-a-kind bespoke sneakers with MattB Customs
Fashion and sportswear retailer JD has partnered with exclusive footwear and customisation brand, MattB Customs, to create bespoke designs for JD shoppers.
As far as streetwear is concerned, sneakers do all the talking. With this in mind, exclusive drops and personalised footwear have become increasingly sought after. So, what better time for JD to elevate its sneaker offering by adding exclusive bespoke designs to its mix?
MattB picked up customising footwear as a hobby when friends commissioned him to customise OG kicks back in his student days. As soon as his studies were done, he opened a studio in Manchester in 2020 and by 2021, his name was officially on the streetwear map with celebrities such as Ed Sheeran and Meekz sporting MBC customs.
MattB Customs, said: “Having hosted a workshop at the JD Foundation x BLGC take-over and created unique designs for the brand at Longitude this year, I’m so honoured to be taking my partnership with JD up a notch to make even bigger waves in the customs game.

The partnership kicks off with a one-of-one duffle bag made up of deconstructed JD trainers, handcrafted at Matt’s Manchester-based studio. Re-purposing materials like leather, mesh and soles of shoes, Matt is taking his signature sneaker customisation skills to the next level.
